Ocular Incisions and Dissections Course (OIDC)

Benefits of OIDC Training

Would you like to analyze and improve the mechanics of your surgical incision and dissection skills? Enroll in our simulation-based Ocular Incisions and Dissections Course (OIDC), part of our Mechanics of Ophthalmic Surgery-Tools, Tissues and Thoughts (MOST) program.

Certified instructors provide feedback based on simulator data captured in real-time so that you can improve your surgical skills and judgment.

OIDC Training

Ocular incision and dissection skills are essential in MSICS, conversion to scleral tunnel in complicated, clear cornea phacoemulsification cases, secondary intraocular lens implantation, and trabeculectomy.

During OIDC, your instructor will use the HelpMeSee Eye Surgery Simulator generated graphic overlays and real-time feedback to analyze your surgery skills and improve your understanding and performance.

The course is taught using facilitated discussion on the HelpMeSee Eye Surgery Simulator. Participants will receive a Training Certificate of Completion.
